suddenly i remembered my chit-chat time with my ex-boss,almarhum prof dr muhammad al mahdi. he was a white american revert who fall in love with Malaysia but speak Indonesian.*lol. he passed away almost 6 years ago.
he was surely a brainy man.with long list of academic and working experiences with america army & NASA, he of course possessed clearly good brain. he told us, 3 of us (his staff); kak rahimah, kak syahida and kak sofia, pentagon has technology beyond 50 years.just imagine that! 50 years! whatever we muslim country have?
if we remembered how Rasulullah asked us to seek jannah as if we'll die tomorrow and seek dunya as if we will life forever, we should know that, achieving the greatest must be made as our focal point.a good muslim who actually deeply understand the Islam and syarie will prohibit himself from mushy quashy sort of things and focus the energy on improving ourselves.
islam does not asking you to left all the dunya for akhirah.the best is always the moderate stand.khayr inshallah
this is my 3rd sequel from the mental lexicon saga (yeah.im too old to heart cullen).the mental lexicon I was abandoned because of the slow server.the mental lexicon II is-now-defunct simply because i lost the password and can't login.

obesity : queen sized
im watching queen sized.a drama on big teenage girl winning her homecoming queen title.i really love this kind of story where people defied any challenges and win the battle of self-esteem.
id went through a childhood with big girl stamped on my forehead.with the harsh and rude kids who made remarks on big people, it just collapsing more and more the self esteem on me. parent should teach their child to have better manner and dont simply call big people with names.i might say i want to slap them on face.and now, most of them are having reversing process with me.(this is karma, peeps!kidding)
and im not sure whether im on diet or depressed or whatsoever whatcamacallit, i lost my appetite and resulting me lost loads of kilos. i entered new school year (standard 4) as a skinny girl.
what am trying say here is, the epidemic of obesity and how people perceived it. first, obesity is increasing and often it comes with negative effects.most people know, to prevent obesity, healthy lifestyle is needed.second, the negative connotation and rude remarks by skinny society on this people.this is among the factor that contributed to the depression and continuing indulging on obesity lifestyle.
let me put this way.often, family of obese child, will shower them with loads of unhealthy food. some even going further by encouraging glued-to-the-magic box attitudes.some parents extend their wildness of being being too protective, ironically by being sympathetic.this big girl DID NOT need sympathy.dont look at them as fat girl.look at them as your child who deserve your help on having healthier body and life.as a parent, your role and power on shaping your child is high.why dont you use it?
for obese people to shed all those excess baggages, the most important thing is support from the loved ones.if your obese persona trying to lose weight, give him/her support. encourage them to have healthy life and balanced meals.prevent y ourself from inviting them joining mamak at 12 midnite. encourage her to exercise.thats the right way to do so.
obesity is an epidemic and helps your child to go out from it.

niqab
OMG (tune it to BEP's) !! the internet is too slow.Based on the research statistics of 1 person died in every 4 minutes due to cancer, the loading of my CSI Crime City FB games will take life of 30 persons. i supposed to continue my paper writing. After 2 pieces of toast with nutella spreading on them and a cup of hot coffee safely going through my esophagus and ready to be digested, i,yet to start any writing (instead blogging? dush*dush*).
im busying myself with these line chart in which i think look not so good.after consulting my dearest ex-colleague,firebrand miss kiti loh, she told me, for nice chart , excel is better choice.again OMG! i need to master this product of Gates?arghh
no,straight to the main topic.one of my husband friend commented on the pictures of one niqabi woman strutting (yes, she was posing and the eyes were too seductive) on FB.he is my husband's junior in pondok Pak ya and went to Al azhar too.he told the woman, "tujuan berniqab utk mengelak fitnah. pandangan mata serta bahasa tubuh pun sama." (the purpose of wearing niqab is to prevent fitnah (bad mouthing). that includes eyes gazing and body language.).haa terkedu kak tu bila kene sound sekali. i agreed with Ust. F*.if you are niqabi, doesnt mean that you can upload 1 millions of your pics on FB. ok.ok.im exaggerating.it will cause fitnah.dont you think so? whats more if you striking a pose , looking fiercely and seductively with big smile (well, the eyes will tell whether you smile or not). i just dont get it.thats why i stated on my status :
memberatkan aurat kesan drpd pemberatan ibadah itulah terbaik. bukan disbbkan dorongan emosi atau persekitaran.
am not bashing any niqabis.it is your niat.i didnt know your niat.only ALLAH knows it.but if you are not doing it sincerely because of Him, its is no good.beware of what we are doing.we are the living syiar of Islam.

a stricter stand on aurah should be based on the effect of better ibadah.thats the best.not because of emotionally-driven or surrounding

happy dakwah ii : dakwah thru music
i saw new combustion of songs with good message in current situation.credited to my husband who sometimes tuning to Hot fm to cease all the sleepy-ness caused by boring discussion on ikim.fm.
i didnt take a hard or syadid stand when it comes to entertainment although me myself are not a keen music listener (except for samy yusuf.he is god-sent to us!!*alamak terikut gaya wan azizah plak da)
i believe in self-control and wasatiyyah is indeed important when handling mubah cases.
several new songs like kekanda adinda by monoloque & atilia , is for me a very good song with very good message for facing the increasing of divorces among Malaysian. the song beautifully potrayed dilemma of a wife in choosing a career or starting a family. well,of course, argument is mostly there in any marriage.and the solution stated on the song among others : mari kita komunikasi. (let us communicate)
then, the song by suhaimi meor hassan & anna rafali.im not sure the title but the lyrics advised the unmarried couple to avoid being overboard. : jangan pegang2 jalan renggang2 (dont touch each other , walk apart)
again, during the wave of baby dumping season, this song at least tickling the sense of coupling people who listen to this kind of music.
and the maher zain's craze is indeed one very good way introducing nasyeed to youngsters who shying themselves to this kind of genre.they started to sang the dzikr and dua which for me something that we should be happy to see it.imagine this : youngster who never knew arabic words and rarely in touch with islam, suddenly utter the Barakallahu lakuma wa barakah..subhanallah, i hope they will find the meaning and ALLAH gives hidayah to them.
again...dakwah is indeed has vast method and approach.think of our mad'u (the people we want to dakwah) and we should try our best to actually tackling them.if music can do it, let it be.make the music more meaningful and full of naseehah (advice) and let them infuse with good word such as dzikr, dua from the song.
me, myself re-treasured the beautiful of islam thru music too! i'tiraf by raihan.masyaAllah, i turned to a new leaf, from people who sometimes neglecting islam to fully commit to it.
dont just talk.walk the talk.

happy dakwah
ok guys.am too tired *actually this is my brain talking.
i love to read ust zahazan's articles and ust azhar idrus's fiqh kuliyyah.both of them are positive people who so far using their knowledge instead the emotion on dakwah.
they speak facts.they speak only the thing that should be mattered.and they speak a good word.
i observed some trends of ppl regardless their career, have tendency to see in a negative and narrowed view.take an example, many people complaning about the declining attendance in Tarawikh towards the end of Ramadhan or performing Isya & Tarawikh in jamaah but not maghrib. again for me,if i am a masjid committe,i will welcome them instead of insinuating them.they come with the purpose to perform an ibadah.instead of have bad perception or su'u dhan it is better for me to have positive attitude on their attendance rite?they are guest of ALLAH and i didnt see any reason for me condemning them.and i believe if i do that, they will be run away again.rite?and again if it is because of my bad mouth they are turn away from masjid, did i do any good here?
secondly.ppl loves to comparing and set-up a benchmark which is sometimes is out of credentials and cant be generalize.*my lord!i sounds like reporting my findings*.given a situation: back from teaching at 6pm.rushing at home to start preparing iftar at 630 and by 715 still in the kitchen.and what i am doing is preparing food for my husband & kids'iftar.and again comparing it with reading mathurat at the same time frame?for me both action are inshaallah will be rewarded.i saw nothing wrong of ppl preparing foods for iftar.ALLAH promised reward for those preparing it right?why fuss then?and considering the uruf,Malaysian working hours and traffic and the way we cooked our food,it is almost 7+ ,we finished all the things.
thirdly.i prefer to use positive word instead of negative.for example.i would like to say :inshaALLAH,boleh!.because i put an effort to be boleh and at the same time i give all my strength to Him.psychologically, good word vibes positives attitudes and claiming that this is from western and refusing it is a bit naive.why shouldnt I take a good from the west and applied it?we have brain & mind to judge which one is good for us rite?instead of scaring myself and motivation about deathness,i prefer to see it this way : everyone is going to die.and to live is to do the best deeds.which will again helps us in akhirah.*instead of being sad, demotivated,i choose to be happy and embraced the facts that ill die someday.no doubts.
wht am trying to say is: there is no harm to be positive in dakwah.it is really up to us to change the mindset.
happy dakwah!

my letter to The Star
I sent this letter to the The Star.Hope they will publish it.This article is responding to the ignorant non-muslim who condemning and swearing to the Islamic clerics due to the ManU issues.
The essence of 1Malaysia is among other to respect others choice and faith.however, there are still bunch of ignorant non-muslims showed the ugly side of disrespectful towards Islam by swearing to the Mufti on the Facebook.
I just cant stand the ugly side of these bad attitudes. They are jeopardizing the spirit of harmonious Malaysian we used to have and I believe most of us still possessed it.The Mufti is among the respected figure in Islamic world so as the other clerics. This is considered hate crime on Islam.Sadly, these bunch of coward peoples are braving themselves on the net particularly on Facebook.
I respect the freedom of voicing out your opinion. However, done it in the wrong way and hurting your fellow Malaysian is truly unacceptable. This kind of Malaysian should learn on how to understand others or else they can choose to leave in others' place (or even others planet with no human beings). Being a human beings are all about tolerate and respect. And I believe all faith asked us to do the same.

FINAL KHUTBAH from RASULULLAH SAW
O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and take these words to those who could not be present here today.
O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds. Allah has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has Judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn 'Abd'al Muttalib (Prophet's uncle) shall henceforth be waived...
Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.
O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah's trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.
O People, listen to me in earnest, worship Allah, say your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to.
All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.
Remember, one day you will appear before Allah and answer your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.
O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the QURAN and my example, the SUNNAH and if you follow these you will never go astray.
All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O Allah, that I have conveyed your message to your people".

celebrate diversity
im a bit conservative when it comes to my faith.i have many muslim friends from other countries which of course have different sect and opinion of their own.i tried my best to celebrate the differences as I think it is utmost important part as a muslim.the ukhuwwah (relationship) is more precious and sacred to be demolished by the diversity of thoughts.
however,i found it is a bit disturbing, when some muslim kept condemning the existence of secretarian (mazhb) and the most saddened is to bad-mouthed the alim ulama (islamic scholars) who initiated it (read:imam hanafi, syafie, hambali, maliki).i dont see any wrong of practicing their opinion since most of the muslim are not able to have their own learning and understanding of Islam thoroughly.Their opinion and views can help us in guiding ourselves. It just a guideline and not a strict rules we have to obey.some consistency might help in creating peace of mind in our lives right?.it is confusing for muslim who know little about syarie to live his life without practical guidance. And again there is reason why Allah made Quran with non-fixed rules (besides hudud).because He wants us to use our brain and logic.to celebrate the power of aqli besides of naqli.
yet, this is the most reason why we failed to unite.we are too ego to accept differences.we are too ego te respect other opinion.and for most of the times it is done not just in the name of ignorance.but drive by emotion.how pathetic

paradigm shift?
(thinking that] he has hosts of helpers-both such as can be perceived by him and such as are hidden from him [24] -that could preserve him from whatever God may have willed. [25] Verily, God does not change men's condition unless they change their inner selves; [26] and when God wills people to suffer evil [in consequence of their . own evil deeds], there is none who could avert it: for they have none who could protect them from Him. -
thank god! somebody in the cabinet noticed that "Malays are lagged on education".And Assoc.Prof Dr.fadzil said it might traced to the lack of support and low involvement of Malay parents on their children education.
im not playing a racist card here.me,myself is a malay (ok i admit, ive been fantasizing of becoming a japanese).i hope this news will enlightened us,the MALAYS.no matter how much the government subsidized or granted us special rights,if we possessed this kind of attitude,we'll never be able to be the front leader/player.ok guys!paradigm shift needed here!..ayuuhhh!

READ [1] in the name of thy Sustainer
اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ (96:1)
READ [1] in the name of thy Sustainer
READ [1] in the name of thy Sustainer
my research and thesis are inspired by this ayat. MasyaAlLah, this ayat shows how AlLah loves knowledge and it is mentioned in the very first revelation. Thus, the importance of grasping the early literacy can not be denied especially among Moslems. And when I faced difficulty especially during my thesis I believed in the word of AlLah :
إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا (94:6)
verily, with every hardship comes ease!
verily, with every hardship comes ease!
yes.i found solace & peace in Quran.Let us be your believer until the end of the day.
